The last week has been a rather uncertain week in Brisbane. The weather has been playing games, with random bad weather off and on all week. One moment it might rain than the sun is shining.
You might think what does the weather in Brisbane have to do with anything. Well for me right now it is playing havoc with my plans to take a short local trip.
You see I have been considering a few days around the Sunshine Coast just north of Brisbane. With good weather, this will be a fantastic time to get some photos, get outdoors and maybe even get some drone footage. With inclement weather, I would be spending most of the time indoors in one way or another.
Anyway, I am keeping my eye on what the weather is doing and may be able to do something early next week. Whatever happen’s it will find it’s way onto the blog and my social media, so keep a watch. But of course this post is here to share a little of what has happened in the past week, so here we go.

In the past, I have mentioned one of my hobbies on the blog, Geocaching. It was very sad to read on Monday of the death of a Geocacher near Adelaide. You can read the full story at the above link. However, it did come a little close to home, even though I have never encountered a problem, there is often that I take part in Geocaching alone.
Singapore’s SINGA’s Spirit
On some occasions, it has been suggested I consider a visit to Singapore. It is a country that is on my list, for many reasons, but just not quite at the top yet. However, I enjoyed reading a little about Singapore from Jan Sevilla on Flying Baguette.
Spend One Night On Alcatraz
I am always interested to see the different perspective other travellers might have on destinations I have visited. It was even more interesting to read about that experience on the night time tour that is now available. The visit to Alcatraz during the day is one thing but I am not sure I would go for the night tour myself.
